Services Web Design & Development

Your website should win the work.

We build around what a customer needs to see before they call you, book you, or ask what it costs. Words, design, build, hosting and the changes you will want in six months. All of it ours.

The finished home page: a photograph of a completed extension, the headline Built properly, finished on time, and a quote button

Structure first, then design, then the thing that answers the phone. You see every stage before it goes anywhere.

Most business websites are not bad. They are just not built to be chosen.

They describe the company to someone who is trying to decide about a job. Here is what that costs, and what we change. Scroll it.

The same page, at the point most businesses leave it.

  1. 01

    It talks about the company.

A visitor arrived with a job in mind. Welcome to our website does not tell them you do that job. It does not tell them you are any good at it. It does not tell them what to do next. The headline has one job: say what you do and who you do it for.

  2. 02

It is a wall of text nobody reads.

Six paragraphs of history before a single photograph. People skim, decide in seconds, and leave. Give them one clear line, one picture of real work, and room to breathe.

  3. 03

There is nothing obvious to do next.

A phone number in the footer is not a call to action. On every page, at every scroll position, there should be a way to call you and a way to ask what it costs.

  4. 04

It was designed on a large screen.

Most of your customers are holding a phone, often outdoors, often one handed. If the phone version is the desktop version squeezed, you have built the site for the wrong person.

  5. 05

There is no reason to believe you.

Everyone says quality and reliable. Photographs of your own finished work, the areas you cover, and what happens if something goes wrong do more than any adjective.

  6. 06

The enquiry lands in an inbox nobody watches.

A form that emails an address you check on Sundays is a slow leak. It should reach your phone in seconds, land in your records, and get answered before they call the next name on the list.

One project. Not thirteen invoices.

Every part of it is ours, which is why nothing falls between two suppliers. Not every site needs all of this. The call is where we work out which parts yours does.

01

What we make

Which of these you need depends on where you are starting from.

  • Custom business websitesDesigned for your business rather than picked from a template.
  • RedesignsKeep the domain, the rankings and the history. Replace what is losing you work.
  • Landing pagesOne service, one campaign, one page built to convert it.
  • E-commerceProducts, payments, stock and the emails that go with them.
  • Booking and schedulingPeople pick a slot themselves and it lands in your calendar.
02

The parts that make it pay

A site that looks good and produces nothing is an expense. This is the difference.

  • Conversion workThe order of the page, what it asks for, and where it asks.
  • Mobile firstBuilt for a phone held in one hand, then widened, not the other way round.
  • Forms and quote requestsShort enough that people finish them, and routed somewhere you will actually see them.
  • CRM integrationsEnquiries land in your records with the source attached.
  • Analytics and trackingWhich pages bring the calls, and which ones never have.
  • SEO foundationsStructure, speed, titles and schema, so you can be found for what you actually do.
03

Everything after launch

Launch is the start of it. Plenty of agencies hand over a login and disappear.

  • HostingFast, on our infrastructure, monitored.
  • Security and backupsPatched, watched and restorable, without you thinking about it.
  • Updates and changesA price changed or a service added by a person you can phone.
  • MaintenanceBroken links, dead forms and slow pages found before your customers find them.

The same standard, whatever the trade.

Four concepts we designed to show the range. Different customers, different decisions, the same job: get someone from looking to booked.

Concept home page for a roofing company: a photograph of a house with a new metal roof, the headline A roof that outlasts the mortgage, and an inspection booking button

Move across the frame to scroll the page.

These four are concept designs made to show how we work, not client sites. The businesses in them are invented.

The same business, two home pages.

Nothing about the company changed. What changed is what the page asks the visitor to do, and how quickly it lets them do it. Drag it.

  • Before
  • A greeting instead of an offer
  • Six paragraphs before a photograph
  • Six menu items, none of them the point
  • The phone number typed out in a sentence
  • Nothing to press
  • After
  • What you do and who for, in one line
  • Real work, above the fold
  • One thing to press, on every screen
  • The number tappable, always in reach
  • The reasons to trust you, in view

The website is the front of a system, not the whole of it.

We design the whole path, because a site that generates enquiries you cannot answer in time has only moved the problem.

  1. Search

Someone types the job, not your company name. Structure, speed and words decide whether you are on that page.

  2. Land

They arrive mid-decision on a phone. The first screen has to answer the question they arrived with.

  3. Understand

What you do, where you do it, what it roughly costs, and how soon you could come out.

  4. Trust

Photographs of your work, the areas you cover, and what happens if it goes wrong.

  5. Call, book or ask

One action, always within a thumb, on every page and at every scroll position.

  6. Answered

The enquiry reaches your phone and your records in seconds. If you would rather it were answered and booked without you, that part is ours too.

How it actually goes.

Six steps. The first one is free, takes twenty minutes, and you will hear both numbers on it.

  1. 01

We learn how you get work now.

Where your customers come from, what they ask first, and which jobs you want more of. Twenty minutes on the phone.

  2. 02

We design your home page first.

Not a portfolio and not a mood board. Your business, your words, on the screen, before you have committed to anything.

  3. 03

You tell us what is wrong with it.

We change it. This is the cheap part of the project to argue about, so we do the arguing here.

  4. 04

We write and build the rest.

Every page, the words, the photography brief, the forms, the tracking and the integrations. You do not write anything.

  5. 05

    Launch, pointed at properly.

Domain, redirects, search console, analytics and the old rankings carried across rather than thrown away.

  6. 06

We keep it, and it stays yours.

We host it, patch it, back it up and make the changes you ask for. You own the domain and you own the site. If you ever leave, you take it with you.

You run your business. We run the website.

Nobody hired you to be a copywriter at eleven at night. Here is the actual split.

Yours

  • Tell us about the business, once
  • Look at what we show you
  • Say what is wrong with it

That is the whole list. If we need a photograph of a finished job or the name of your booking system, we will ask for that one thing rather than send you a questionnaire.

What people ask before they say yes.

What does a website cost?

It depends on how many pages, whether you need booking or payments, and whether we are writing everything or working from what you have. What we will not do is make you wait for a proposal to find out. You get both numbers out loud on the first call: what it costs to build and what it costs each month. Nothing appears afterwards.

How long does it take?

A focused site for a local business is usually a few weeks from the first call to launch. The thing that decides it is not our end, it is how quickly we can get an hour of your time and any photographs you want in it. We will give you a date on the call and tell you what would move it.

Do I have to write the copy?

No. We write all of it. You talk to us for twenty minutes about how the work actually comes in, we draft it, and you correct anything that is not how you would say it. Nobody knows the trade better than you do, so your corrections matter. Writing it from a blank page does not have to be your problem.

Can you redesign the site I already have?

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do. We keep the domain, carry the rankings across with proper redirects, and keep anything that is already working. A redesign that quietly loses you five years of search history is a bad trade, so we treat that as part of the job rather than an extra.

Can I keep my domain?

Yes. It stays in your name and in your account. We will ask for access to point it at the new site, or we will walk you through the two settings to change if you would rather do it yourself. We do not hold domains hostage and we will never register one in our own name.

Do you host it?

Yes, and we would rather. Hosting, certificates, security patches, backups and uptime monitoring are part of the monthly cost. It is the difference between a site that is still fast and safe in three years and one that quietly breaks in month nine because nobody was looking at it.

Can you connect it to my CRM?

Usually. If it has an API or works with the common connectors, enquiries land in it automatically with the source attached, so you can see which pages actually bring the work. If you do not have a CRM yet, we will tell you honestly whether you need one.

Can you build booking or quoting into it?

Yes. People pick a slot and it appears in your calendar, with a confirmation and a reminder sent for you. Quoting depends on how your pricing works: if it is a set of rules, we can put a real quote on the screen. If it needs your eye on the job, we build the shortest path to getting you the details you need.

What happens after launch?

We look after it. Hosting and security stay with us, the site is backed up and updated every month, and changes are made by a person you can phone rather than a ticket queue. When a price changes or you add a service, you call and we move it, usually the same day.

Can we add AI to it later?

Yes, and it is designed so you can. The site is the front of the system. When you are ready, the same enquiries can be answered and booked without you, and the calls you cannot get to can be picked up as well. Start with the website. Add the rest when the phone is busy enough to need it.

Show us what you have. We will show you what it could become.

Send us the address of your current site, or tell us you have not got one. Twenty minutes on the phone, no charge and no slide deck, and you will hear both numbers before you hang up.
